RYA Diesel Engine Courses

Mechanical failure is the main cause of lifeboat callouts to yachts and motor cruisers.

This course is designed to give an awareness of the main systems of a marine diesel engine. It will enable you to take simple measures to prevent mechanical breakdown and rectify defects which do not require workshop support.
RYA Short Range Certificate (inc. GMDSS) Training and examination
A marine VHF/DSC radio is an essential piece of safety equipment. As well as being a legal requirement to hold an SRC licence to use the equipment it is important to know how to operate it correctly.
RYA CEVNI On-line Test

CEVNI stands for Code Européen des Voies de Navigation Intérieure. It is the code governing navigation on the interconnected European inland waterways. Signs, rules and procedures for navigating the European inland waterways are all included within the CEVNI code, and pleasure craft are expected to know and follow the code.
RYA Essential Navigation and Seamanship On-line course
Also available as a classroom course
This course is an excellent introduction to navigation and safety awareness for anyone new to boating, those skippers or crew wanting to brush up their knowledge. You will be guided through all you need to enhance your boating knowledge. The course covers charts and publications, safety, buoyage, tidal awareness, basic navigation and pilotage, rules of the road, electronic navigation, anchoring, weather forecasts, and passage planning.
It is the perfect first course before moving to the more in-depth Day Skipper and Yactmaster theory courses.
